We plan to release coreutils-8.27 in about a week, so any testing you can do on various different systems between now and then would be most welcome. -- You can download the coreutils snapshot in xz
Hello, Most of the issues were fixed, few minor issues remain - likely not show stoppers. 1. The Mac OS X issue ('test-lock') is fixed, no test failures. 2. On AIX7/PowerPC, the compilation succeeds
I don't know how to avoid that as per: http://bugs.gnu.org/20733#139 I'm guessing building with gmake is OK. Interesting. The test may need to be marked expensive though I've not looked in detail. St

Hello Pádraig and all, Few more tests results. Some are already known, but I'm mentioning them for completeness. No test failures on x86-64 with: Ubuntu 14.04, 15.04, 16.04 CentOS 6.5, 7.0 Debian 7.
Getting there ... Hmm, that implies that st->st_size > ST_BLKSIZE(*st) for pipes on FreeBSD 11. Maybe we should explicitly disallow st_size==0 for the seekable case? More generally should we fall bac
Assaf your testing VMs and instructions are awesome!! http://www.nongnu.org/pretest/ The attached patch fixes the above issue there. thanks, Pádraig Attachment: head-pipe-bsd.patch Description: Text
A new snapshot is available for testing. I'm planning to release in about 36 hours. You can download the coreutils snapshot in xz format (5.4 MB) from: https://pixelbeat.org/cu/coreutils-ss.tar.xz An

Hello Pádraig, You can download the coreutils snapshot in xz format (5.4 MB) from: http://pixelbeat.org/cu/coreutils-ss.tar.xz Few minor issues below, I'll have results on more systems a bit later.
Interesting. setlocale() succeeds there with LC_ALL=missing I'll look into whether we can test this case. Hmm, we should also be disabling core dumps for this ulimit -v determination, with something
I see you're on a GNU/Linux system without SELinux. It's better to be specific about OS version in reports. These are the coreutils specific results: These are the gnulib tests: thanks for testing! P
One more obscure minor issue: On OpenSolaris-5.10/i86pc, a framework error: == ERROR: tests/rm/r-root + sed 's/.*rm: /rm: /; s/\(rm: it is dangerous to operate recursively on\).*$/\1 '\''\/'\''/' sed
Patch attached. Patch attached Looking further it seems that NSIG is only for older signals on FreeBSD and there is a newer _SIG_MAXSIG that we can add to gnulib like: diff --git a/lib/sig2str.h b/li
Now in gnulib. Will sync with this soon: http://git.sv.gnu.org/gitweb/?p=gnulib.git;a=commitdiff;h=dce117ac Though a bit of overkill really. A patch for both issues above attached. thanks, Pádraig A
I think this may be undefined behavior to call WEXITSTATUS on ~0; WEXITSTATUS() is only defined on 16-bit status values returned through the wait() family, and even then only if WIFEXITED() is true.
