Good pint Urs however that only works for outside notes, also I wanted the direction to be opposite the stem as in traditional classical guitar.  So it doesn't work. also what happens when the slur

Care for an example? Well, but if you have things like an appoggiatura and a slur, you will not likely want to shape both (granted, I don't have a good idea how to shape the appoggiatura separately).
