[Aspell-user] gcc 3.2.2 problem?

From: Fred Marton
Subject: [Aspell-user] gcc 3.2.2 problem?

Yesterday I installed gcc 3.2.2 on my system (SuSE 7.2, kernel2.4.16-4GB),
changing from 3.1. This morning I re-compiled and installed aspell 0.50.3
(in order to work with my daily cvs update of sylpheed-claws) -- seemed
to work fine. However, now aspell doesn't want to work. When I try to
check a file (aspell --check file), I get a segmentation fault. gdb output :

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
aspeller::Language::setup(acommon::ParmString, acommon::Config*)
(this=0x8066710, config=0x8061e80)
    at basic_string.h:150
150             { return _M_references < 0; }

I am unable to run make for aspell-en-0.51-0. gdb output from
aspell --lang=en create master ./en-only.rws < file
(word-list-compress d < en-only.cwl works fine):

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
aspeller::Language::setup(acommon::ParmString, acommon::Config*)
(this=0xbfffd9a0, config=0x8061bd0)
    at basic_string.h:150
150             { return _M_references < 0; }

Finally (if it will do any good), sylpheed-claws (0.8.11claws83) hangs
and has to be killed when I fire up a compose window with spellchecking
enabled:

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

aspeller::Language::setup(acommon::ParmString, acommon::Config*)
(this=0x8371bc0, config=0x834f088) at basic_string.h:150
150             { return _M_references < 0; }
Current language:  auto; currently c++

I had no problems with gcc 2.95.3 or 3.1. Any ideas or suggestions?
More info needed?
