[AUCTeX] LaTeX exited abnormally with code 255, modeline fas [0]

Hello!

pdfTeX 3.141592-1.21a-2.2 (Web2C 7.5.4) seems to have a bug that makes  
it impossible to use LucidaSans-Oblique TrueType font that come with  
Java. pdfTeX finishes in the *output* buffer this way:

	</usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf.local/fonts/truetype/lucida/ 
llsdo8a.ttf></usr/loc
        al/teTeX/share/texmf.local/fonts/truetype/lucida/llsro8a.ttf
	Error: pdflatex (file  
/usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf.local/fonts/truetype/lucida/
        llsro8a.ttf): cmap: unicode 2010 is mapped to multiple glyphs
         ==> Fatal error occurred, the output PDF file is not finished!
        
        LaTeX exited abnormally with code 255 at Sun Apr  3 23:21:24

but the modeline states: "(LaTeX [0]: exit).
