No error. Emacs launches.

No error. However, nothing happens at all. The shell just silently
returns to the command prompt. No Emacs window, no zombie process in the
task list.

Same here. Back to the prompt without any error or any other
user-visible action

This does not depend on whether I use the MSYS shell or the CMD shell.
Same thing everywhere.
