And here's another piece of information: If I enable (setq debug-on-error t) in my .emacs, then when I open a .tex file I get the following:

I tried to install AUCTeX from MELPA and I got the following error:

I don't even know where to start....

Here are my emacs and org-mode versions:

M-x version returns: GNU Emacs 24.4.1 (x86_64-apple-darwin13.4.0, NS apple-appkit-1265.21) of 2014-10-21 on builder10-9.porkrind.org
M-x org-version: Org-mode version 8.2.10 (8.2.10-21-ga712ce-elpaplus @ /Users/drorata/.emacs.d/elpa/org-plus-contrib-20141201/)

What other details should I provide?

Thanks in advance,
Dror
