| I'm too lazy to type "VERBOSE=1 TESTS_ENVIRONMENT='$(SHELL) -x'",
| so this introduce "VERBOSE=x".
| (Note that VERBOSE=x will not trace `defs' although
| TESTS_ENVIRONMENT='$(SHELL) -x' does; this is meant.)
