Is that a problem, rather than a mere inconvenience? I don't see why
this should be required. I suppose in that case we could add
dist-hook: all
to the toplevel Makefile.am. But since this applies to a fresh checkout
only and not to an extracted tarball (right?) I suppose there is no
need.
