Not quite, but the error message is more obvious:
config.status: config.h is unchanged
config.status: executing depfiles commands
usage: make [-BeikNnqrstWX] [-D variable] [-d flags] [-f makefile]
[-I directory] [-J private] [-j max_jobs] [-m directory] [-T file]
[-V variable] [variable=value] [target ...]
gmake[1]: *** [amhello-1.0.tar.gz] Error 2
