Sorry for the noise, I just did "sudo modprobe ppdev" and the module
loaded just fine. I then added it to /etc/modules of course...
Avrdude seems to work now, but on to the next problem... avrdude says
that the chip isn't responding ! I am starting a new thread about this
though, to keep the list tidy... ;-)
