[avr-gcc-list] elf 2 coff

I was reading on the avrfreaks forum that elff2coff doesn't work if 
volatiles are in the code.  No update seems to have been posted (there), 
and I havn't been able to get it to work with my elf files.  I was 
wondering if this has been fixed or if there is a work-around?
