Hi Robert, Preston,

The patch was actually to solve a *potential* problem. Obviously, it was
a hack (by myself no less), and I'm going to remove it.

Thanks to you both for testing the RC. BTW, please don't use it for real
world code though as there is known compiler bug in it (that has
subsequently been fixed). Give me 2-3 hours to re-build GCC and get it
uploaded.
