Attachments of MIME type application/octet-stream used to be dropped
(although I'm not sure whether this has been turned off now), anything
else should be fine.

For just a simple example, you'd better attach them as text/plain
files (just strip down the Makefile to a few lines as well), that way,
most mailers / news readers will be able to display them inline.

Unless you accidentally enable something like a low-pass filter in the
trigger system, that should of course work.
