It's a bit puzzling then why autoconf did find a libusb in the first
place. It's not supposed to add the -lusb option if the library is
not around at all.

Well, that's just another tool, but I don't really see how it
would help me in getting away without XSL knowledge. Once I
know enough of XSL, I've already got xsltproc sitting around.
But I admit I only browsed the docs a bit, perhaps that's enough
to get me going.
