Details:

When writing the EEPROM via HVPP on an ATmega8 with an AVR Dragon (-c
dragon_pp), the write does not occur and validation fails. Reading the EEPROM
afterwards via terminal mode (-t) shows that it remains unprogrammed (all
0xFF).

The test to generate the attached output was with AVRDUDE v5.6 on Windows XP
as included with WinAVR 20090313, but the problem has also been observed in
AVRDUDE v5.5 from WinAVR 20081205 (XP) and AVRDUDE v5.5 from AVR MacPack
20081213 on OS X 10.5.6. I did not test it on Linux.

Programming of the EEPROM is successful using ISP (-c dragon_isp) on all
platforms tested with the same command line.

The command line used to generate the attached file: avrdude -vvvv -p m8 -P
usb -c dragon_pp -e -U eeprom:w:SDrive.eep:i > dragon_pp_eeprom_error.txt
2>&1

Also attached is the .eep file being programmed.
