Follow-up Comment #12, bug #28744 (project avrdude):
OK, here is one more fix for this bug that's been driving me up the wall:
there are two separate flash write commands for the main flash and for the
boot section. This latest patch adds support for automatic switching while
writing to the 'flash' memory. Slightly hackish, might want to adjust how the
config file is structured to make it not-so-hackish. However, now the xmega
boot block can be reliably programmed!
