Yes, I have also noticed this delay over the last few days. So
far as I can tell, this does not have anything to do with the
Axiom Wiki and axiom-developer.org server. Notices of changes
to web pages are sent to the axiom-developer email list in
the same way as any other email sent to the email list (the
Axiom Wiki appears as just another subscriber to this list).

there is/was some problem that caused on a serious backlog
on the gnu.org (Savannah) servers. This is confirmed at the
Savannah web site:

lists.gnu.org is being redone from scratch. The Savannah
Hackers are not involved in that process. Work is focused on
the new system rather than the current one. ETA is fall of
March. We'll post additional information here if available.

( I suppose they mean the end of March, 2006? :)

If this problem doesn't go away, I suppose we could investigate
the possibility of moving the mailing lists to another server.
It would be possible for us to run a list like this on
axiom-developer.org if we really wanted to.

It is also possible to subscribe directly to web pages on the
Axiom Wiki. In that case the change notifications would be
sent directly to you by the Wiki software.

Bill Page.
