ummm, the patch was posted to the list and i applied it.
it is hardly a secret fix.

i was working on the todo-list posted in the --patch-50 announce which read:

      update CVS on sourceforge
      update CVS on savannah
      diff -Naur Gold Silver and post patches
      ....

of which i've completed the first two and was working on the third
when the news arrived that --patch-50 fails on debian. so i balr'd
off ot build a debian box to debug the problem. debian had some
default setup issues (latex, xdev) which i had to solve. now debian
build stops in the algebra compile and i'm trying to debug the problem
as we speak. 

the plan is to diff Gold and Silver.... soon.

it's a holiday weekend here in the states which means i get an
extra day of axiom hacking.
