Hi Phil, Thanks for the mail. Please allow me to insert a few comments in the text. I am having several problems with the Resource Viewer.Yes, this is correct. The red button on the resource viewer is similar to the red button with the X in a browser. Pressing that button in the browser does not close the browser, but it only causes the browser to stop further the page it was in the process of loading. Similarly in the resource viewer, if it was loading a page it would then stop doing so. It is not designed to close the resource, that only at present is possible with menu File / Resources / Close. Have you notices the elaborate helpfile that comes up when clicking the Help button in dialog "New Resource"? That dialog shows how to create new resources. It is accessible through menu File / Resources / New or (Edit). Yes, I have seen that behaviour too at times. It has to do with the Gecko / xulrunner library. That causes the crash. I have given up looking for the cause, but on the other hand there should be a solution. If you wish to have it fixed, please file a bug. Through the Resource Editor this can easily be modified. The key here is in this example: http://net.bible.org/verse.php?book=<book>&chapter=<chapter>&verse=<verse> Wherever you wish bibledit to retrieve a book, then put <book>, and so also for <chapter> and <verse>. Bibledit will fill these values with the proper book, chapter or verse that you wish to retrieve. For a page to scroll, there should be an anchor in a html file. This has been described in the helpfile on the Resource Converter. That is, normally when plucking a page from the web, it does not contain the right anchors for Bibledit so that it would know where a certain verse starts in the file. So each html file needs to be "Converted", as it is called. This means adding the right anchors to it. The URL generally would be: http://www.sabda.org/sabdaweb/bible/chapter/?b=60&c=2&version=drft_wbtc So the URL constructor would be: http://www.sabda.org/sabdaweb/bible/chapter/?b=<book>&c=<chapter>&version=drft_wbtc And the rest of the form would be similar to the current Sabda one. The easiest way to do this is just to create a new resousce, base it on Sabda Web, and only change the name of the resource, and the URL constructor, that's all. Then, I assume that a similar method will work for GoogleDoc pages as well. Please make a task on Savanah that requests this feature. Thanks for helping develop BE. Teus. |
