[Bino-list] Bino3D.org feature request

I notice most 3D converters only known how to deal with red and cyan, top and bottom, and side by side 3D,  and they can transfer one form to the other.  But they don’t understand the twin stream format of the Nintendo 3DS 3D footage.  Bino3D can accurately play and render in 3D a Nintendo 3DS file and I can see it in red and cyan format and the 3D is maintained, but I can’t save the footage as a file I can do one of 2 different things with.   One is burning to DVD.   The other is editing in iMovie.   iMovie and other video editors can edit a 3D file stored in side by side half or red and cyan.   I understand iMovie will not be able to manipulate the 3D, though Final Cut Pro X can.   However when I drop a file in iMovie, it only reads it as a 2D file.

If there was a way you can save the playback as an mp4 file, encoded in either red and cyan or side by side half, I could take out the bad parts and show slo mo replays with running commentary.  I’m planning to film a miniature golf tournament.  I’m not going to have Godzilla rampage through a miniature golf course, so I don’t need to manipulate 3D scale.    I’m just using a 1:1 scale with a "walking zoom" to do 3d crane motion shots.

There is nothing I can do with the file except watch it.    I’d like it saved as "2d compatible" 3d format so I can edit it and burn it.   Most movie editors treat 3d encoding as garbage in-garbage out.   If it comes in looking like 2D video but is actually 3D, it will come out looking like 2D encoded in 3D.  But most movie editors don’t know how to deal with twin stream video.

Finally if you say use Unix, I’ve got a problem.  I have a Macintosh.   I know just enough about unix where I know one mistyped character can permanently ruin your file or even your computer.   It’s powerful, but with great power comes great responsibility.   A gui based file transfer feature is a feature i’d pay $20 for, since I know your program can do the Nintendo 3DS videos correctly, and I might get a refund from a previous 3D converter that doesn’t do Nintendo 3DS well.  I’ll apply that to fund this feature.

I’m wondering if you can get an Apple Authorized License, you can make an App Store version of this program.   Just charge for the Apple Authorization, for those who want the security of Apple Authroization, to know we are not loading anything with viruses, malware, or anything else.  heck, you can even make a little profit off this for those uncomfortable with non-App Store downloads. Like my mom.   She just wants a computer to work well.
