Actually, POSIX 2008 requires open_memstream (it's just that most vendors have
not caught up yet, and no one has contributed a gnulib replacement).

Thanks for the pointer! But we're talking about the generated parsers here, and we just decided to move from knr to C 90, so POSIX 2008... :)
