That is a bad idea. Mouse-2 is the traditional follow-link button.
Mouse-1 is only an additional option in Emacs 22; it is controlled
with `mouse-1-click-follows-link'.
I don't have another suggestion now. A lot of the mouse buttons are
used by Emacs, except <S-mouse-2>.
