[Bug-AUCTeX] rel-0-9-1; color-theme.el PDFLaTeX vs LaTeX

Remember to cover the basics.  Including a minimal LaTeX example
file exhibiting the problem might help.

Just a small problem.

Here's the minimal example:

My default compilation mode is PDFLaTeX - set via customize:

I also use color-theme.el (Version 6.4.2). My display setup has a
dark background color and a light font color. I've used the theme
"gnome2" for this example and included in my ~/.emacs:

To reproduce the error:

1. Create a new directory including the above snipplet as a new
   *.tex file.

2. `C-c C-t C-p' into LaTeX-mode (if it's not default).

3. Run `C-c C-c' twice (LaTeX).

4. Preview with `C-c C-p C-b'. This results in image
   "PDpreview_latex.png" (see attachment).

5. Delete everything but the *.tex file.

6. Just to be on the safe side: Close Emacs and start a new
   session.

7. Open the *.tex file and switch to PDFLaTeX-mode using `C-c C-t
   C-p'.

8. Repeat steps 3 and 4. I end up with the image shown in
   "PDpreview_pdflatex.png" (wrong colors).

If you need more information about my setup do not hesitate to
ask.

The color-theme I'm using in practice (customized...) has a much
darker color making it close to impossible to read. That is why I
used "gnome2" for the example.

Besides this small flaw I'm a happy camper and would like to
thank the AUCTeX/Preview-LaTeX team for their great work!
