[Bug-AUCTeX] 2005-05-22; Scrambled line endings

what in fact did happen.

If the bug (or problem) is triggered by a specific (La)TeX
file, you should try to produce a minimal sample file showing the
problem and include it in your report.

When I create a simple document like this one:

and save it, I get the following buffer contents when I re-open it:

In both cases the value of `buffer-file-coding-system' is
iso-latin-1-dos.  I have to manually revert the buffer using the
dos coding system to get it displayed correctly.
