Since this a multiline construct spanning several hundred lines I'd
expect it to cause some delay when being fontified the first time.
What currently bothers me is that refontification occurs over and over
again, even if you are not doing anything in the dtx buffer.  For
example when instrumenting jit-lock and font-lock with ELP, doing `M-:
(elp-reset-all) RET' and `M-x elp-results RET' immediately after that,
there are already six calls to `jit-lock-function'.

And of course the application of the face used for the arguments of
\newcommand to documentation sections is not good either.
