Yes, sorry. I had not much time at work for further investigation, so
I looked into READMEs and sent the bug report from home. But since I
don't have Windows here, I could not use TeX-submit-bug-report.

I customized TeX-output-view-style for an older version and
encountered the problem when I upgraded. Reading start /? should be
sufficient, but as a UNIX user I expected that there are quoting
rules and missed the point. Sorry for the noise.
However, adding a pair of quotation marks solved the problem.
