[Bug-AUCTeX] 11.87; Wrong face for texinfo's "@c" comments

I'm rather surprised that your version of `texinfo-mode' doesn't fontify
the "@c" (comment) command in the usual manner.

Maybe something changed in one of the parts re-used from texinfo.el?

It still works in emacs23:

GNU Emacs 23.4.1 (i486-pc-linux-gnu, X toolkit, Xaw3d scroll bars)
of 2013-12-22 on biber, modified by Debian

But fails in emacs24:

GNU Emacs 24.3.1 (i486-pc-linux-gnu, X toolkit, Xaw3d scroll bars)
of 2014-05-16 on babin, modified by Debian

In any case, I note that in emacs23, I have
`font-lock-syntactic-keywords' of:

(t
 (("\\(@\\)c\\(omment\\)?\\>" (1 "<"))
  ("^\\(@\\)ignore\\>" (1 "< b"))
  ("address@hidden ignore\\(\n\\)" (1 "> b")))
 ("\\(@\\)c\\(omment\\)?\\>" (1 "<"))
 ("^\\(@\\)ignore\\>" (1 "< b"))
 ("address@hidden ignore\\(\n\\)" (1 "> b")))

But in emacs24, it's just nil (and deprecated).

This is presumably somehow related
