But as said: if someone volunteers to figure out how to get AUCTeX
into debbugs.gnu.org, please do so. It's probably not too hard.

Well, I could potentially do it, but wouldn't some official person
need to sign off on it? I have no official connection to either the
AUCTeX project or the GNU project.

Sure you have: You know me, and I'm one of the AUCTeX maintainers. :-)

Right now, it is mostly just you and Mosè, right?

But no need to figure out how to get AUCTeX into debbugs: it's properly
documented here: http://debbugs.gnu.org/Using.html

I'll do that when I find some spare time after my move which might take
another week or two. Mosè, if you want, you can also do it whenever you
want.

As maintainer email address, we'd use address@hidden, and debbugs
should take over mails sent to address@hidden We should ask on
help-debbugs how that works out best. The page says that mails to a
taken over list would create new bug issues in debbugs. That's great,
but how about replies to existing bug mails? I don't want debbugs
issues like "Re: foobar broken" where the original report mail isn't
included.

Sounds good. Based on the link you provided, i think there is nothing I can do to help with this. But if there happens to be, let me know.

                                                        Regards, Faheem
