According to Greg Schafer on 2/23/2008 1:50 AM:
| Hi,
|
| Seeing as GCC 4.3 is about to be unleashed, any chance we could see a new
| Autoconf release with this fix included?
|
| http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/autoconf-patches/2006-12/msg00100.html
|
| I've noticed both Bash and Gawk so far as being affected by the problem.
We are still waiting on feedback from the FSF lawyers on how to
appropriately release autoconf with a GPLv3+ plus exception license. If
it comes to it, we may have to downgrade back to the GPLv2+ plus exception
used by autoconf 2.61, but that feels like a hack. Meanwhile, there are
still some testsuite failures that need addressing before we can do a release.
