This was a FAILure last time. 
Anything changed on this host by the week-end?

If not, please see if these different invocations yield another
outcome:

  env TESTS=cond19.test VERBOSE=x make -e SHELL=/bin/sh check
  make TESTS=cond19.test VERBOSE=x check-TESTS

[...]

 Nelson> subobj9: running libtoolize --version
 Nelson> libtoolize (GNU libtool) 1.4.2
 Nelson> subobj9: running gcc --version
 Nelson> 2.95.3
 Nelson> === Running test ./subobj9.test
[...]
 Nelson> ERROR: files left after distclean:
 Nelson> ./so_locations

I'll leave this to someone else.  I don't know what a
so_locations file is for.  Either it's a temporary file libtool
has to clean, either automake should do it.
