I have libtool version 1.4.2 on most systems, except for these:

        FreeBSD 4.4             libtool-1.3.4
        Apple Darwin            /usr/bin/libtool reports no version
        IBM AIX 4.2             none
        IBM AIX 4.3             libtool-1.3.5
        
Unfortunately, libtool is one of those packages that does not install
successfully everywhere.  I'll see if I can get the latest version to
build on these systems.
