automake 1.7.6 make check fails

Hello,

I've just compiled Automake 1.7.6 (std: `./configure;make')
and run `make check', but it failed. I've attached an output
created by:

 $ make check VERBOSE=1 >am-1.7.6-check.log 2>&1

please decompress `am-1.7.6-check.log' and do:

 $ grep FAIL: am-1.7.6-check.log

FYI: I'm using Autoconf 2.57 and GCC 3.2.
