Yes, I agree.  Improving that would be very nice, even only providing
failing test cases would be good.

We've had two proposed Vala patches in the last year or so, and had to
drop both because the copyright question could not be cleared.  So if
(and when) that is cleared for you, I'd be glad to review patches from
you to improve things here.
