hi,
I'm not sure this is the write news group, but other cygwin bash
questions seemed to be asked here, including an almost identical one
from last June that apparently went unanswered.
I'd like to merge stderr with stdout using syntax along the lines of:
something 2>&1 >$logfile
but cygwin's bash doesn't seem to support this.
any ideas?
i'm running cygwin under Win2000. does bash or cygwin have something
like "perl -v" so I can post the version?
cheers,
Tim Hanson
