Description:

I'm not sure whether it is a bug
how can i echo the text string "-e" barely ( or "-n", "-E")
i tried
$echo "-e"
$echo '-e'
and some other inputs, all of which produced no outputs.

the original problem was that I wanted to use echo to output the value of a
variable in a shell script
and that value happened to be "-e"

for example
=-=
#!/bin/bash
TEXT="-e"
echo $TEXT
exit 0
=-=

see above.
