I don't understand. I believe that Glibc must be installed after gcc.

I download glibc-2.3.3.tar.gz and glibc-linuxthreads-2.3.3.tar.gz but i am afraid to do a mistake.

I note that signal.h is also in /usr/local/lib/gcc/sparc-sun-solaris2.8/3.4.1/include/sys directory because there is also gcc v3.4.1 installed on solaris boxe.

Moreover, i don't have root rights to install it in /usr/local directory but i can see that with my boss.

What do I have to make exactly? What is the procedure to be followed?

This is not a binutils error.  You need to install glibc headers before
compiling gcc.
