Bug ID: 19146
Summary: ld -plugin "missing argument" vs. "unrecognized
option"
Product: binutils
Version: 2.26 (HEAD)
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: ld
Assignee: unassigned at sourceware dot org
Reporter: dilyan.palauzov at aegee dot org
Target Milestone: ---
After doing "./configure --enable-lto --enable-plugins --enable-threads
--enable-gold=yes --with-zlib" and then "ld/ld-new --help" I see " -plugin
PLUGIN Load named plugin" , but when I enter "ld/ld-new -plugin"
the output is "ld/ld-new: unrecognized option '-plugin'". This leads to the
impression, that plugin support is not compiled. Gold reports on the same
occasion "-plugin: missing argument".
Please update ld, so that when it prints at "ld --help" the text "-plugin",
then "ld -plugin" emits "missing argument".
