I'm trying to make jetspeed (http://portals.apache.org/jetspeed/ ) work with
tomcat on jikesRVM, which uses gnu-classpath.
I exposed and fixed a different bug (pending reporting), also in an inner class
inside gnu.java.net.protocols.jar.Connection, which was impeding jsps work
properly.
Now I have a basic tomcat 5.0.30 install running, but several things are still
failing:
- jetspeed uses JAAS for A&A, and this is where I found the bug. I was getting a
"Subject has no principals" error on a continuous basis, and I traced it here.
- the JSF config is still not properly read (still some problem with resources
in jars, I think, but I have not been yet able to isolate it)
- assorted security related problems, part due to my ignorance of the classpath
handling of security configuration, if any...
I'm proceeding fairly slowly due to the time it takes jikesRVM to build a boot
image every time I change one of the core classes.
