[Bug classpath/24876] New: Regex failure

The attached testprogram fails to correctly match the pattern on the string. I
found this bug while testing out jIRCii, which otherwise works to a certain
degree, but fails to parse the IRC JOIN response and is therefore unable to use
for IRCing.
