Hello,
cp updates the timestamps of soft linked files, during recursive copies
using the options -al. I don't seem to be able to reproduce this effect
on a single softlink. mv has a similar bug-it updates the time and
date of directories when moving or renaming them. Again I'm not sure
this happens with individual files.
I am using Debian version 5.2.1-2 of coreutils, but these bugs have
affected all versions I've ever used.
