Did I find a Bug in /bin/ls or in bash?

I am running SuSE 10.2.  When I type the command:

/bin/ls [A-B]*

it lists all files starting with "b" but none starting with "a".

The command:

/bin/ls [a-b]*

lists all files starting with "a" or "b", as expected.
