I am using CentOS5. In a virtual console when I type the command:
echo
"*********************************************************"
I get the attached file. When I booted up with Ubuntu 7.04 & repeat, I
get one word: "Desktop". It dawned on me that both results are the
same: a list of files/directories in my home directory.
When I repeat this using t# instead of * it works OK. That is the
command "echo ########################################"
results in 40 # symbols.
