this is a strange bug i tell you.
see the attached image to see whats happening...
i am running ubuntu gutsy, (2.6.22-14-generic #1 SMP Sun Oct 14 23:05:12 GMT
2007 i686 GNU/Linux) (GNU coreutils) 5.97)
but it also happens on gentoo (latest) (gnu core utils 6.9)
have fun figuring this one out :)
