It sounds like you either don't have one of the shared libraries that that
executable was compiled with installed on your system (or possibly the wrong
version of the library) or it's not in your LD_LIBRARY_PATH.

You'll have to find the library and make it accessible or maybe try compiling
CVS from the source (not usually too touch on a SUN) and hope it finds a
different library.
