Hi Assaf, That was my question. For your install of Cygwin did you just use
the default install which is about 100 MB or did you add specific compilers,
automake, autoconf, etc. It maybe that the Cygwin install method is different
than when you installed so the options that I have to make you might not have
had to make.

When building from that tar.gz file, there is no need for
automake/autoconf/etc. - shell, 'make' and a compiler is all that should be
needed.
Are you getting compilation errors with the cygwin setup I've listed ?
