Subject: problems found with ddd
3.3.1
Dear Sirs
I have encountered the following problems with ddd v
3.3.1:
- Turning off
‘Tip of the day’ in the ‘DDD Preferences’ popup under ‘Startup’ is ignored and reset
when the application is started the next time – this problem is
intermittent.
- Used to be able to
put a function name in the top left text editor left of the ‘Lookup’ icon to display the
function in the main debugger window. This now causes GDB to crash
(segmentation fault) – this problem is consistent.
- Does not stop at
line when you do ‘Continue Until
Here’ - this problem is intermittent.
- when you type
‘p’ at the ‘(gdb)’ prompt in the bottom panel to
print a variable, it starts to print some sort of a very long stack.
Sometimes it hangs up instead or goes into a loop - this problem is
intermittent.
