I would like to know if there is a version control repository (e.g. Git or Mercurial) for tracking development of ddrescue.
There is no official ddrescue repository. I find version control programs annoying and I work on a computer without an internet connection. Mattew Ruffalo set up an unofficial GNU ddrescue repository at http://github.com/mruffalo/ddrescue but it is not up to date.
I have a rather large project planned involving ddrescue, and I plan on tracking my changes in either Git or Mercurial, so having an official repository for mainline ddrescue development would make it much easier for me to contribute changes back.
Much easier? How difficult is it to make a diff against the latest version of ddrescue?
Best regards, Antonio.
