Follow-up Comment #1, bug #23885 (project findutils): It's not clear to me that the convenience of supporting such arguably misconfigured systems could at all justify the performance impact of calling getgrgid() for every visited file with a previously-unseen gid. These systems will in any case have other usability problems.
