Follow-up Comment #9, bug #38092 (project findutils): You can also easily test your suggestions with a stock xargs by installing open-mpi from http://www.open-mpi.org/software/ompi/v1.6/downloads/openmpi-1.6.3.tar.bz2 ./configure --prefix=$HOME && make && make install works for me and most distribution have some version prepackaged. I've tried some permutations of your suggetions but so far nothing has worked.
