Ahhh...it does -- just not documented in the man page.
As for sending to wrong list......look at that address.

of course I just typed in the diff-utils part ... somehow
the name of the list is incorrectly linked in my address book.
Wonder how I managed that.
Sorta how like the manpage for 'diff' in the diffutils rpm
from my distro doesn't match the binary (though rpm says
they have the right checksums).
